We couldn't decide which book to read for our space-themed summer selection, so we will be offering TWO selections this summer. "The Martian" by Andy Weir features the fictional story of astronaut Mark Watney, who is unexpectedly left behind on a mission to Mars. "Endurance: A Year in Space, A Lifetime of Discovery," is the memoir of real-life astronaut Scott Kelly, tells his journey through the U.S. Navy, NASA, and of his nearly year-long stay on the International Space Station.
Both books are currently available to check out in a variety of formats. You can find copies on our Book Clubs shelf, which is right next to our Quiet Reading Room.
As this meeting will take place at the park, attendees are welcome to bring a picnic-style dinner and any beverages they may enjoy. In case of inclement weather, the meeting will move to the library program room.
